Well with just that description it’s hard to help but i would say take some lessons. you can usually find a golf pro at most golf courses that can give lessons.

Sorry bub, but if we can’t see a swing or aren’t given any ideas about what your faults are, we won’t be able to help you.
Here is a link to better iron play, though. Hopefully this can point you in the right direction.

Okay deal with me for a sec, it will be a little long….
Okay so you want to start in your start position with everything set ready to bring the club back. Make sure your left arm is straight and not in front of your club shaft. Make sure your arm is like this through the WHOLE swing. And when you bring your club back in your backswing dont just bring it up, act as if you are handing it to a person behind you. At the height of your backswing make sure your back is pointing towards the target and when going through the swing make sure at the end of your whole swing your chest is pointing towards the target. ONE KEY FACT THAT ALWAYS HELPS: your shoulders and especially head should never move up and down, keep it on the same plane the whole swing. Plus the last thing, make sure that your shoulders, hips, and feet, are all even with eachother. Its all about your posture. If none of this helps, buy some new max game improvement irons! A good set is the Adams Idea irons, theyre good and cheap! BEST ANSWER PLEASE!
Mizzou…take up tennis. that was flat out bad directions from a blind man at night. do you even know if the asker is right or left handed? because keeping the left arm straight, circa 1982 pga training module, may be tough for a left handed golfer.
Hey asker…come back with a definition of “cant hit irons good” is, and maybe an answer will follow.
For now, go get the hogan book 5 lessons, penick’s little red book, and stick your nose in em. you might also check out power golf by ben hogan, if you can find it.
Tips are for waiters and people who can hit their irons well, but recently are not. You need lessons, I suspect.
Good luck.
make sure your swing is correct, rotate your shoulders 90 degrees to do this you must rotate your hips 45 degrees, also make sure that at the top of your back swing that the bottom of the club is up and it isn’t at an angle. Good luck
need more information: are you
hitting it fat
hitting it thin
hitting on top
or missing it all together.
