CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH MY PUTTER GRIP? ?
Question by John S: CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH MY PUTTER GRIP? ?
can anyone show me a website where I can view tiger woods’s putter grip? I’m not talking about the type of grip he has on his putter, but I am talking about the way tiger woods holds his putter with his hands. I’m trying to find a good way to grip my putter, so why not copy the grip of the worlds no. 1 player in golf? It works for him so I’d like to try it.

Tiger’s putting grip is quite conventional and is the one to copy.
Note the left hand index finger does not wrap around the grip, like the other fingers….instead, it does a “reverse overlap” and downward to help lock in the wrists and improve repeatability.

In addition to the link above, try google image with the words, tiger woods putting grip. Good luck.
Tigers putting grip is the basic reverse overlap. It’s taught in chapter 1of the putting section of every golf book ever written.
Henny Bogan has provided you with a good link to putting grips. The thing that may be just a bit different from conventional with Tiger is he grips the putter in the fingers of his left hand. Most players that use the reverse overlap grip tend to get the grip more in the palm. This could be the secret to Tiger’s unbelievable feel which makes him far and away the best putter in the game to-day. You can see in the photo that his right hand is exactly opposed to his left and again in the fingers. The positioning of his right and left hands provide a perfectly neutral grip that can’t interfere with the stoke at all and he starts the ball on line every time. You have picked a great grip to copy so make sure to study it carefully to pick up the little nuances and practise to make it your own. Good luck
